First job, or need a hand?
The one rule for every call centre CV
Show how much you handle and how well you do it. "Answering calls and helping customers" could describe anyone; "Handled an average of 70 calls a day and resolved 84% of queries at the first call" describes you. Put your best numbers in the first half page.
What call centre managers check first
- Your numbers: calls, quality score, first-call resolution, attendance and targets.
- Your languages and typing: adverts often ask for English plus a second language, and some name a typing speed.
- Your availability: shifts, weekends, public holidays and how you get to work.
- Your systems: the CRM, ticketing and telephony tools you have used.
Before you send it
- Check the job title, systems and languages against the advert, and keep only what is true for you.
- Make sure every number is one you can explain in an interview.
- Save it as a PDF named with your name, for example Nomsa-Khumalo-CV.pdf.
